Newly Discovered:
- Bury Tomorrow – I mentioned these chaps quite recently, how had I not heard of them before? Better late than never, though, eh? And their screamo guy, Daniel Winter-Bates, what an impressive pair of lungs! My favourite track by them right now is An Honourable Reign, and they also do a kick ass cover of Evanescence‘s Bring Me To Life. They’re a credit to British metalcore!
- Korpiklaani – I came across this awesome Finnish folk metal band recently and pretty much became an instant fan after hearing their new single Ämmänhauta, from their new album Noita. Their tunes are a robust, thigh slapping blend of harmonic melodies and metal, and for some reason they make you really want to consume large quantities of beer.
